Walker, Janet

An expert in conflict of laws and international dispute resolution, Janet Walker teaches in the LLB and Professional LLM programs at Osgoode Hall Law School of York University, where she has also served as Associate Dean. Professor Walker’s work has transcended Canadian boarders: she has served as an arbitrator in various matters at the International Criminal Court and has lectured at universities in Singapore, Tunisia, and New York.  She gave a series of lectures at The Hague Academy of International Law in 2005 and she co-chaired the 72nd Biennial Conference of the International Law Association in 2006. Professor Walker has been elected Vice-President of the Canadian Branch of the International Law Association and is a member of the American Law Institute, the Council of the International Association of Procedural Law, and the Canadian Council on International Law’s Board of Directors.
