Having taught in faculties of law across Canada since 1979, Errol Mendes is currently with the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section at the University of Ottawa. His latest publication, “Peace and Justice at the International Criminal Court, a Court of Last Resort” is based on his work at the ICC during a sabbatical in 2009. Dr. Mendes is a frequent lecturer, media commentator, and advisor on international business ethics, constitutional law, and human rights. He has presented briefs to the Canadian Parliament and has advised governments and corporations. He has also served as a Human Rights Adjudicator under the Ontario Human Rights Code, as Director of the Human Rights Research & Education Centre at the University of Ottawa, and as a Senior Advisor to the Privy Council Office, appointed by former Prime Minister Paul Martin.
